In the summer, the city parks give out free sack lunches to children. Last summer when Raja had a day off to and was home with Natalia, I would take Andrew to get a sack lunch and then we would go to Walmart. I put a blanket in the cart and called it a picnic. This way Andrew would actually eat his lunch- without constant encouragement- and I could pick up the things we needed while he was distracted and happy. It was a win-win situation. We haven't done this for several months now, but now Natalia is big enough to join it! Chicken nuggets and the picnic blanket made for a happy shopping trip for all of us!
