Hashan Isaac Ratnayake
2:50 p.m.
Weight: 6 lbs. 6 oz.
Length: 19 1/2 in.
Grandma- holding her grandson for the first time.
This is one proud Daddy!
He was weighed in this little bag- the entire time he had his foot sticking out!
Being weighed...
The woman weighing and washing him is my midwife, Samantha. She delivered him.
Being washed...
Andrew and Natalia seeing their new little brother for the first time.
(They were not in the room during the birth, but they were
close enough the hear me screaming- I'm not a quiet birther :) So, they were also
able to see that I was still alive and well :)
This was within minutes of the birth.
(Yes, as a matter of fact, I was going for a glamour shot;)
As soon as our son was born, they put him up on my chest, and we got to stay like that for as
long as we wanted. I loved how laid back everyone was at the birthing center. It was very calm, peaceful and relaxing. We could also stay for as long as we wanted. We decided to stay overnight, and left the next morning to bring all three of our kids together again.
Andrew and Natalia spent the night at our friend's, the Sherman's, house. This is just after they got home. (Natalia is holding the egg she got from their chickens- she was so proud of it!)
They sure love their little brother!
Our first family photo!
We celebrated Hashan's arrival with a birthday party-
if you look closely you can see a "0" on the cake.
The presents are gifts from Hashan to his new brother and sister.
Andrew and Natalia, with grandma, playing with their gifts from Hashan.
All in all, we are absolutely in love with our own little
Mr. Amazing!!!!!
